The role: Associate, Advertiser Services

Working within our Advertising Operations function, you help the wider Global Advertising & Product Operations team better serve Google's worldwide user base for our AdWords product. This fast-paced sales and support team quickly identifies and resolves customer concerns and contributes to the growth of our programs. You continue to hone your account management and relationship-building skills, supporting some of Google's top advertisers and agencies by providing the best possible service via phone, email, or chat. Your responsibilities range from managing advertiser accounts, developing compelling advertising solutions for brand advertisers, to developing scalable support solutions. You work within a diverse team with colleagues throughout Europe, sharing your advanced knowledge of Google products and advising your clients on the best strategy for them to achieve their desired results. Among your many attributes, you are a self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly changing environment, and you have a strong desire to learn. You also boast experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or consulting.
As an Advertising Operations Associate, you help the wider Global Advertising & Product Operations team better serve Google's worldwide user base for our AdWords product. Your objective is to continue to hone your account management and relationship-building skills, advising some of Google's top advertisers and agencies and providing the best possible service via phone, email, or chat.
We in Advertiser Services, have redefined support by providing holistic solutions to our clients making AdWords a simple and value added product. We focus on our customers and believe in building relationships that last forever by creating a magic moment. In last year alone, we doubled our CSAT, reduced churn by whopping 30% for new advertisers, introduced Service to Sales strategy and delivered more than 2700+ Unique adoptions (highest by any group) in 5 weeks (175% of target) making us one of the best performing teams not only in customer focus but also in driving revenue initiatives. As an Advertiser Services Associate/Strategist, you’ll have an opportunity to operate at a level where you will not only provide customer solutions, but also act as business consultants to Google’s worldwide advertisers base for AdWords. You will also have the opportunity to interact with all segments of advertisers from beginners who want to learn more about AdWords to High Value experts exploring new avenues and products.

Software Engineers in Test (SET) design Google's testing infrastructure and write code to examine and validate large-scale software development and deployments. As an SET, you partner with software developers to create and code tests concurrently with product development. You build tools that help developers be more productive, write better code and test it themselves. Troubleshooting is an understatement, it's more like trouble-forecasting.

  2. Design and build intelligent systems that enable and validate high quality releases at fast pace.
  3. Invent and extend methodologies for validation of scalable production systems.

How we hire

We’re looking for our next Noogler - someone who’s good for the role, good for Google and good at lots of things.
Things move quickly around here. At Internet speed. That means we have to be nimble, both in how we work and how we hire. We look for people who are great at lots of things, love big challenges and welcome big changes. We can’t have too many specialists in just one particular area. We’re looking for people who are good for Google—and not just for right now, but for the long term.
This is the core of how we hire. Our process is pretty basic; the path to getting hired usually involves a first conversation with a recruiter, a phone interview and an onsite interview at one of our offices. But there are a few things we’ve baked in along the way that make getting hired at Google a little different.

How we interview

We’re looking for smart, team-oriented people who can get things done. When you interview at Google, you’ll likely interview with four or five Googlers. They’re looking for four things:

Leadership

We’ll want to know how you’ve flexed different muscles in different situations in order to mobilize a team. This might be by asserting a leadership role at work or with an organization, or by helping a team succeed when you weren’t officially appointed as the leader.

Role-Related Knowledge

We’re looking for people who have a variety of strengths and passions, not just isolated skill sets. We also want to make sure that you have the experience and the background that will set you up for success in your role. For engineering candidates in particular, we’ll be looking to check out your coding skills and technical areas of expertise.

How You Think

We’re less concerned about grades and transcripts and more interested in how you think. We’re likely to ask you some role-related questions that provide insight into how you solve problems. Show us how you would tackle the problem presented--don’t get hung up on nailing the “right” answer.

We want to get a feel for what makes you, well, you. We also want to make sure this is a place you’ll thrive, so we’ll be looking for signs around your comfort with ambiguity, your bias to action and your collaborative nature.
